The Baker Street Irregulars is a group of young street Arabs recruited by Basil of Baker Street to assist him in many specific cases, performing various missions, ferreting London for clues, and acquiring access to places where the detective could not go himself.

Though the Irregulars are permanently settled in the Victorian era, the age of Gilbert and Sullivan, they cannot help but "overhear" the things I listen to. One night, some years ago, I downloaded a set of Bon Jovi songs that I have not heard since the 1980s. The next thing I know the Irregulars burst in the scene and danced their little hearts out. Nowadays, they like pop rock, but Bon Jovi remains the "Irregular" favourite. Unfortunately, out of historical loyalty of their era, they love operettas, music-halls, and folk songs in my pastiches; outside them, if I am on the computer or in the car, they monkey-jig to my rock n' roll!

Huggins, the leader of the Irregulars, is among the more difficult of the members to sketch, mainly due to the fact that he rarely stands still. However, he stood enough for fifteen seconds as he bounced to Bon Jovi's "One Wild Night"!

Models - Jeremy Brett (né Huggins) — each member of the Baker Street Irregulars is modelled and named after a memorable Holmes actor.
