"Please don't go..."
"I must go..."

Blame *Lady-Rorschach for this! We're co-writing a REPO! the Genetic Opera crossover, using characters from Human Target television series into the rock-opera universe — two of my favourite things to date that should probably never go together and yet somehow, in a really bizarre way, works:

Taking place after the events of the REPO! film of a post-apocalyptic, dyspotian future where an epidemic of organ failures devastated the planet, the biotechnological mega-corporation called GeneCo emerged out of the tragedy to provide organ transplants to the needy populace on a financial plan, making it affordable to anyone who needed one. The story's heart deals with a brilliant coroner-turned-plague researcher named Juan Guerrero and his wife, Lucreztia "Lucy" Alighieri, who were caught stealing GeneCo-owned organs and supplies to help save their prematurely born year-old son, Juanito. Their employer Rotti Largo threatened to "repossess" their child, as they begged him not to, and Rotti blackmailed them. Guerrero was forced to become one of the Repo Men, assassins dispatched to re-harvest the organs of customers who default on their payments, and Lucy was forced to serve as the Gentern responsible of managing and directing those said organs directly from the Repo Men to be brought back into the populace. They also became privy to the Largo family's many whims. Rotti's eldest child, Luigi, lusted after Lucy and envied her husband; and, in a fit of jealous rage, slashed Guerrero's face, blinding his right eye, in the hopes of have Lucy for himself by "cutting off his nose to spite his face," so to speak.

Six years later, the spoiled children of Rotti Largo — Amber Sweet, Luigi and Pavi Largo — are now the new heads of GeneCo and became living proof that "absolute power corrupts absolutely," taking their sibling rivalry and transforming it into a major power struggle for the company. Juanito, now seven years old and completely sheltered from the outside world, has become sicker than ever and each day becomes more and more grim. When Luigi ordered Guerrero (who has became infamous as the Repo Man known as the "Plague Doctor," due to his long-nosed bird mask used by medieval medics to protect them from the bubonic plague) to repossess the organs of a child the same age as his son, Guerrero refused. This was a breach of contract and GeneCo, by default, can reclaim their son as their property and execute the Repo Man for failure to perform. However, Luigi offers Lucy to spare her family if he claimed "full possession" of her, body and soul, for a year and, at the end of the term, will give her Juanito's "cure." She, to her hate of him, agrees. Luigi parades her around as his lover, to anger Guerrero, and uses her the new prima donna-like Voice of GeneCo, to the anger of his sister Amber, as Luigi begins his plans to dethrone his siblings and take over GeneCo for himself. Secretly, Guerrero and Lucy take a year-long plot of revenge to take down the Largo family (particularly Luigi), destroy GeneCo, cure their son, or die trying...

Guerrero and Lucy's allies are Dr. Winston, a GeneCo SurGen, and Chance, a GenCop-turned-Graverobber. (I believe that Graverobbers are secretly employed by GeneCo to widespread Zydrate addictions throughout the public and, thus, spread surgery addictions.) Their enemy, along with Luigi, is Baptiste who better known as the Repo Man, "Red Death."

(Lucreztia "Lucy" Alighieri and Juanito are original characters *Lady-Rorschach and I created together for our Human Target fiction. We ended up loving the characters so much — and were strangely predicted in the episode "Baptiste" — that we practically add them to everything. I always cast actress Sherilyn Fenn as Lucy.)

REPO!!!!

Know the whole movie backwards, forwards, and even if I had the damn sound muted! Just the best fucking Rock-Opera ever!! ... Ok so it's tIed with Rocky Horror Picture Show for me, but you know what I mean!!! X3

Oh man! If you two decide to write this, I will LOVE you and it forver and ever and EVA!! X3

It's such an original, awesome, totally fits, crossover idea! Would you be having cameo's of Shilo and Nathan and maybe GR himself? THAT would be neat!

Ooo! I do so hope you go through with this, and I wish you luck on it if you do! Great picture BTW! Soo emotional! Kinda reminds me of the scene in Repo at the end where Nathan and Shilo are singing "Didn't Know I Loved You So Much", which ALWAYS makes me pout ans whimper in sadness!

Great, Great, GREAT! Job!

Thanks! I'm glad you like this! I really appreciate it!

REPO! is definitely one of my favourite rock operas. It's up there with RENT, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Little Shop of Horrors, Hair, Evita, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Shock Treatment. And actually we did write the first chapter and I did a number of REPO!-esque posters to go with it, which you can see in my Human Target gallery folder here: [link]

This story doesn't have Nathan or Shilo because their story is the film. And this actually takes place after the events of the film, so Rotti and Nathan are dead. The Graverobber (who I call Terrance after the actor/lyricist) in the film MIGHT make an appearance, but we're not not sure yet since we have Chance as our Graverobber. (I detail this in the artist's comments, by the way.)

Of course I enjoy it! It has Repo!, which I've been into since I learned about it back in 2007, and Human Target, which you got me fully into after linking me to the episodes!

Ahhh! I haven't seen Hedwig and the Angry Inch or Shock Treatment in forever it seems! Now I wanna watch them again! XD Ooo! I see! I found the first installment of your story... LOVED it! I knew I'd like this crossover! Chance is an interesting Graverobber XD Also, I had seen your RepoTarget posters, and I enjoyed them sooo much!

Ah! So it's an "after-the-original-film" kind of crossover story! I see. That explains why Rotti is dead XP I forgot about that. Terrance or Shilo making an appearance would be interesting. Kind of like Shilo meeting someone who is just as infamouse as her father was, and trying to understand why men like her father or Guerrero have to fall to the kind of life they have. And just having Terrance GR show up would be cool, b/c maybe Chance had a past with GR while he was still a GenCop; like cornering GR and almost killing him, only not b/c GR opened his eyes to what he was doing as a GenCop... Or something like that. Idk. I ramble!

And I did read the artist comment. I guess I was just being like Layla and repeating/pointing out the obvious XP
