RiG: Define Irony?

Description

"Never compromise, even in the face of Armageddon..."

Wow! Just wow! I longed to show everyone this! These are images from the film, not mine, but it's something I wanted to show everyone. Both times, I choked and it all came out my nose and I teared up! This is proof that Batman can exist in the world of Watchmen, thus Rorschach in Gotham can exist as well!

The top image is from the opening where Nite Owl (Hollis Mason) right hooks a robber outside the Gotham Opera House with posters of the cover of Batman #1, published in Spring 1940, in the background. Obviously, the couple he saves can't be the Waynes, if Batman already exists, therefore I came to call them the Dreibergs! (Also note the poster advertising Die Fledermaus, which means "The Flying Mouse." Remember that the character of Batman first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in published in May 1939.)

The bottom is from the Director's Cut where Rorschach walks down the streets with harlequin-esque stripper posters and maniacal laughter graffiti. Hurm. :wow:

So, does this mean night Owl killed Bruce Wayne's parents; if so, then does that mean Bruce used Batman from the comics as an inspiration instead of a bat and gggggggggggggggaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh, DAMN YOU WATCHMEN, YOU'RE FUCKING MY MIND O.O
