The Baker Street Irregulars is a group of young street Arabs recruited by Basil of Baker Street to assist him in many specific cases, performing various missions, ferreting London for clues, and acquiring access to places where the detective could not go himself for "they can go everywhere, see everything, overhear everyone..."
Livanov, of the Baker Street Irregulars, is the son of a farmer who escaped his once-peaceful Russian country for the smog-ridden streets of London and lost his way. He is the lone survivor of his family, but nevertheless found another with the Irregulars. A soft-hearted philosopher of the group, he can quip a maxim for every task and an axiom for every answer. He is the pacifist and peace-maker of the group, detesting all quarrels and bickering, he separates, appeases, and compromises.
Here the humble boy from Russia admires a little colourful butterfly flying overhead and greets it cheerfully in his own tongue. The fluttering butterfly responds by landing right on a surprised Livanov's nose in its own little thank-you.
(Schastlivo, gospodin babochka translates to "Be happy, Mr. Butterfly" in Russian.)
Models - Vasili Livanov – each member of the Baker Street Irregulars is modelled and named after a memorable Holmes actor. (See a clip from Livanov's brilliant portrayal of Holmes HERE.)
Well, I believe "critiques" should be done in private. I'm rather opinionated sometimes and very blunt, so I rather say it all in private without 2 million views reading about how nasty I am.
