Description

"Quick, efficient, durable, and easily fits into my boot...!"

At last, three of my favourite obsessions — 19th-century Great Mouse Detective and Sherlock Holmes with 24th-century Star Trek — merged and mingled as one little, parodistic crossover, brought to you by me and, pushing my hesitancy aside, I am pleased to introduce the adventures of Star Trek: Titus:

Chief Engineer to the Multi-Vector-class USS Titus (NX-74910) is the Terran Lieutenant Gaebril Oisin (played by Oscar Milde). His eccentric charisma, paradoxical wit, narcissistic ego, and uninhibited coquetry were often the talk of Starfleet Academy, graduating top-ten in his class. He is renowned for passing the notorious Kobayashi Maru test on his first try. Gaebril Oisin's multi-functional "sonic screwdriver" is his favourite tool, used for electronic and mechanical manipulation, as well as a flashlight, a lock-pick, and a makeshift defensive weapon. This is, of course, a little tribute to Doctor Who because I always wanted one and, giving Oscar one, was humourous to me.

(Believe it or not, the "sonic screwdriver" first appeared in the Doctor Who episode "Fury from the Deep" in 16 March 1968; the Star Trek equivalent appeared the episode "Assignment: Earth" in 29 March 1968 called the "servo"! The Who version had, admittingly, a cooler name, although I always thought it looked a giant q-tip, lol!)
